Oh you silly Fashionista

Oh how I love Topshop! This is from my predictables site WGSN. Isn't it pretty? I love the colors, the lovely belt and the way the jeans pull the outfit together.

So I have an interview with Anthropologie which I am so excited about. I love their clothes and home accessories but can never afford anything. Maybe now I can.

Did you know that on the cover of the new Vogue magazine some of the shirts are Gap shirts? Crazy huh, since Gap is in so much trouble right now. They are closing their Forthe and Town stores because of their struggles but keeping their shoe store (yes, they have an online shoe store) Piperlime.com open for now.

I was at the mall today and noticed that Thakoon is doing a thing for Gap. They are in real trouble. I read the whole article on it in Macleans. Bad, bad bad. They've spent $100 million on the (RED)campaign and made $18 million. Plus the whole sweat shop thing...

yeah, they need to clean up their act. don't even get me started on (red). it was a great idea, so how could it have gone so wrong? all the frickin advertising, and not evough good quality product. who is going to buy a threadbare tshirt with some word on the front for 25 bucks or whatever, even if it does go to Africa? I mean, call me a little selfish, but I want to wear a piece of clothing that lasts a couple washes.

Project (RED) was a big misstep. I think that people are finally realizing that one of the best things you can do for the world is just buy less shit (ironic, I know, comign from a fashion blogger. . .). thing about what it could do if everyone just donated $25 directly to a charity for Africa!

And I miss Topshop more than I can possibly express. I can't believe it'll be another year before I'm back in Merry Old England hitting up Oxford Circus :(

exactly! give 25 bucks straight to Africa! Good idea, less waste on the environment. if only gap thought of that

Yeah, and it's a thirty dollar shirt made by kids in Africa, in sweatshops, being paid five cents a day, and half of the money goes back to Africa. I bought one shirt and it's been in the wash once and now it's ruined. It's a dumb thing, and a waste of money.
